Cogeneration & Trigeneration - Our Challenges in the Melbourne CBD

The green building revolution has seen the emergence of cogeneration and trigeneration systems as a means of generating energy on site and reducing the environmental impact of the building. There are approximately 44 sites across Australia, which have adopted the technology with varied success. But do the benefits outweight the costs? Our guest speakers divergent views will come together to explore some of the more significant opportunities and risks for facilities managers associated with the growing use of this technology

The green building revolution has seen the emergence of cogeneration and trigeneration systems as a means of generating energy on site and reducing the environmental impact of the building.  At present, there are approximately 44 sites across Australia, which have adopted the  technology with varied success.  But do the benefits outweight the costs?

As our prospects of rising energy costs, increasing consumption and application of carbon taxes goes from conversation points to reality, our focus on onsite generation in the CBD has become more intense.
