People Managers

Occupational Hygiene

Occupational hygiene refers to the identification, risk assessment, monitoring and control of occupational hazards such as indoor air quality, industrial air quality, chemical exposure, asbestos in the workplace, and noise in the workplace. CETEC can assist you in meeting your regulatory OH&S (WHS) requirements.

HSE Audits

CETEC conducts audits of QHSE management systems which includes Health and Safety Management Plans, Quality systems and Environmental Management Plans for building and construction projects plus industry in general.

Indoor Air Quality

With Australian office workers spending more than 80% of their time indoors, an emphasis on indoor air quality (IAQ) is paramount. Poor IAQ can carry a substantial cost burden and the CSIRO estimates that the cost of poor internal air quality in Australia may be as high as $12 billion per year. CETEC is a leader in providing both proactive IAQ audits, air quality monitoring and occupant surveys as well as conducting investigations into specific or ongoing building IAQ problems.

Indoor Environment Quality

Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) refers to the quality of the indoor environment within buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health, comfort, and productivity of building occupants. CETEC offers world class knowledge and leading Australian field services with laboratory support.

Office Noise and Acoustic Comfort

Maintaining acoustic comfort in the office is more than just reducing loud office noises. The acoustic environment in the office comprises all the sounds that occur throughout the day. Some of these sounds are welcome and essential in some form, such as a telephone ring. However, when sounds annoy and distract your office occupants, they are perceived as noise and will hinder your office productivity. CETEC can measure and help manage your acoustic comfort issues.

WHS Management

With the national harmonised Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws already rolled-out across most of the country, it’s important to know if your WHS documentation is in-line with the new legislative requirements.

Mould & Bacteria

CETEC have a wide range of highly skilled scientists and engineers to assist with any mould or bacterial issue. The first objective is to establish the source of the mould or bacterial growth and then adopt a disciplined sampling methodology. Following the analysis and identification process, we provide recommendations to our clients, and as required, devise a remediation plan. CETEC can also project manage the decontamination and flood remediation.

Hazardous Materials

CETEC has more than 28 years experience in the identification and management of hazardous materials, and all corresponding legislation. CETEC can audit, inventory and assist you in managing your hazardous materials.

Asbestos

Productivity Assessments

It is important to measure the physical work environment and the productivity of the workforce in order to determine where opportunities for improvement are possible and to capitalise on some of the significant cost savings available for organisations. CETEC has the tools to make such Facility Ecology and Work Environment Productivity Assessments possible.

Laboratory & Hospital Design and Dangerous Goods

New OH&S/WHS laws have been introduced across Australia, with a much larger emphasis on building design. Laboratory, hospital and plant designers are required to assess risks over the lifecycle of the facility. It is at the design stage that CETEC is able to offer expert advice and analysis of risk for the design team.

Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE)

Benchmarking and evaluating the performance of existing operational buildings is essential for property owners, facilities managers, and tenants so that they can ensure that the building is operating to somewhere near its full potential. Post occupancy evaluations allow this evaluation to take place.

Outrage Management

There are many techniques and tools that CETEC can use to identify and reduce occupant or employee outrage; however all of the techniques revolve around the one central theme – communication. Individuals who are or have been impacted by a risk event should be consulted, briefed and educated.

Risk Management

Technical risks can be diverse and complex. At CETEC we focus on reducing your risk and providing solutions to assist with your risk management. CETEC has the experience and expertise to effectively manage your risk.
