NABERS Indoor Environment and Green Star Performance
We are excited about the release of the new and improved NABERS Indoor Environment rating tool and the release of the new Green Star Performance rating tool.
Adam Garnys was a guest speaker at the NABERS IE roadshow in Sydney last week. The roadshow will continue next week in Melbourne. The CETEC team is working on a range of pilot ratings for NABERS IE and also Green Star Performance. Certification costs are being waived for NABERS IE pilot rating tools over the next few months.
Also, last week, Dr Vyt Garnys, NABERS Accredited Assessor, attended the media event in New Delhi to present the first international NABERS IE rating to the Paharpur Business Centre. We congratulate the Paharpur Business Centre, which was awarded a 4 Star NABERS IE Whole Building Rating.
This week in Melbourne, Jack Noonan was a presenter at Umow Lai's How WELL is Your building breakfast seminar. Over 100 building professionals gathered to hear from Shane Esmore (Umow Lai) and Jack Noonan on the topics of Healthy Buildings, Indoor Environment Quality, the revised NABERS IE tool, and the new WELL Building Standard.
Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) and Healthy Buildings
Next week, Adam Garnys, is speaking on the topic of IEQ and its relationship to productivity at GBCA's Green Building Day in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Dr Vyt Garnys is moderating a workshop on IEQ in Productivity at Healthy Buildings 2015 in Eindhoven next Monday, 18 May, at this sold out conference. The purpose of this workshop is to develop a consensus for the method of measuring occupant and business productivity arising from IEQ. The workshop will address how we can translate and collate the significant laboratory and field studies to a standardised approach for performance and productivity measurement, leading to transformational change across the built environment.
Later this month on 25 May, Jack Noonan will be presenting at Ideaction 2015 , the annual conference for the Facility Management Association of Australia, on the topics of NABERS Indoor Environment (a joint session with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage) and Managing Legionella and Microbial Risks within Potable Water Systems. This year's conference will be held in Adelaide.
Finally, in April, our NATA accredited laboratory had a successful quality assurance audit (ISO17025). We hope to bring you news in the near future of the expansion of our accredited laboratory and field service offerings.
