Facility Ecology™ is the study of the interaction of building/structure with the occupants and involves the collection of quantitative indoor environment parameters and occupant satisfaction assessments to thereafter evaluate overall occupant wellbeing and productivity. By taking a holistic approach, we are better able to plan a harmonious and quantitative improvement in the occupant’s satisfaction, resulting in corporate productivity and facility efficiency. As well, the Facility Ecology approach can determine the financial benefits of applied and proposed changes to the indoor environment.
Facility Ecology, which focuses on the measureable interaction of the occupants with the interior of a building, creates a scientific framework based on measured data that demonstrates whether a building can – or is – delivering its primary function of improving the occupants performance.
